You just purchased your first Ozimal Bunny and like so many bunny owners before you, you’re probably wondering what to do with it! Here’s a simple walk through using some basic settings that are easily changed to meet your individual needs.
- Wear the Group tag associated with your land (this is important).
- If you have purchased an official Ozimal Bunny from the store, you will need to unpack the box.
- Rez the nest(s) on the ground wearing the Group tag associated with your land. It is important that you do NOT attempt to unpack or open your nest.
- Click on the nest(s) and a blue dialog menu will drop down with several choices. Click “Start Birth” and it will begin the process of birthing your bunny. It is important that you do NOT move your nest during the birth.
- If you have purchased the nest(s) from the main Ozimal store, the birthing will be almost instant.
- If the nest came from a third party Ozimal Merchant, the nest will take 1 hour to kindle.
- As soon as the bunny is born and the nest has vanished, quickly click on your bunny and a blue dialog menu will drop down with several choices. Click on “Movement” and select “Move Off”. This will make the bunny sit still so we do not have to chase it as it hops around.
- Click on the bunny again and when the menu drops down, this time select “Config” and then “Set Range”. You will be instructed to type a number into local chat that will represent how many meters your bunny can go away from his/her home location. For now, we’ll start with 5 meters to keep it as simple as possible. (For more information regarding Range Settings, please see here: )
- It is suggested that you instruct the bunny to wander no more than 19 meters from its home location for optimum sim performance.
- Bunnies can still “reach” the range you set them to even with movement turned off.
- Now you can choose a name for your bunny. Click on him/her again and choose “Config” and then “Set Name” from the blue menu. You will be instructed to say the name you want the bunny have via local chat. Say the name of your bunny and the name will appear in the hovertext above the bunny.
- Keep the name reasonably short or you will get a message that the name is too long and you’ll have to repeat the step.
- The bunny’s nutrition level is set to Level 2 by default. If you want to change this, click the bunny and select “Nutrition” from the blue menu then select the level you want it changed to.
- If you plan to breed, you can just leave the bunny at Level 2.
- It can take up to an hour for the bunny’s nutrition level to change in the hovertext.
- All of your settings have now been configured! But it’s a good idea to make sure Second Life has not glitched and that all of your settings are as you configured them. To do this, click on your bunny and select “Show Config” which will give you a list of the configuration settings on that bunny via blue dialog box.
- Rez out the food for your bunny. It’s a good idea to drop the food on or very close to the bunny’s home location.
