The term “Range” refers to the menu settings that tell your bunny how far they can hop and “reach”. Range affects every direction – North, South, East, West, Up and Down. For the sake of example, we’ll say that you have chosen to set your bunny’s range to 5 meters (the default range settings).
It’s important that within this range, you set your bunny’s food and water to prevent hunger/thirst induced hibernation. It’s also important that in order to prevent accidental breeding, you not set any bunny within this range that you don’t want breeding with the other.
In addition to a bunny being able to hop their range of 5 meters in any direction, they can also “reach” an additional 5 meters. It’s important to set a buffer zone of the range of the bunny plus 1 meter based on the point the bunny can hop to in order to prevent any breeding accidents. In the case of a bunny with a range of 5 meters, you will need to set a buffer of 6 meters between it and the next bunny (assuming the next bunny’s range is set to 5 meters as well).
I have designed this illustration based on the picture shown on the Official Ozimals Support Site.
Please take into account that this example regards to bunnies who have their movement configured to “on”.
Bunnies Configured to Movement Off
Controlling breeding is a lot more simple when the bunny is not allowed to move. We’ll assume that where your bunny is sitting is their home position. Since the bunny cannot hop away to the edge of their range, the bunny can only “reach” 5 meters. These bunnies will only need a buffer of their range plus 1 meter from their home location (as opposed to placing it based on the distance away from the home position the bunny is able to hop).
