Weekly Ozimals Meeting October 4, 2010

I apologize for being slow getting this out. It’s a busy day in my house – complete with flooded bathroom. I may have missed things here and there so please… if you can make the 6pm SLT meeting, go! It’s a great opportunity to meet with staff and your fellow bunny lovers.

Ozimals Oracle

This week’s Ozimals Oracle was presented to us by Elphaba Stormcrow, the head Ozimals CSR. The topic today was about Support Tickets and the ticket system.

The Support Ticket System is a to track anything a CSR cannot handle right there and then including but not limited to issues with bunnies that are broken and need to be fixed or even lost bunnies, for housecalls, troubleshooting, and more complex issues.

Sometimes you send in a ticket and you may think you’ve not gotten a response. Ozimals does their best to answer all tickets within 24 hours and that’s why it’s important that if you haven’t received an email regarding your ticket within 48 hours, you should check the ticket itself and look for a response as sometimes the emails get lost along the way. The ticket system also allows them to track the large numbers of inbound queires they handle in a day, without having to deal with lost IMs in Second Life.

Ozimals answers tickets in the order which they were received. Unfortunately, there’s too many cases of people posting non-critical tickets and marking them as such. So they simply respond in order so they don’t miss anyone.

There are several statuses in the ticket system

  • Open – Ticket is open and waiting for a response from Ozimals
  • Closed – Ticket has been addressed with issue solved
  • Pending – Tickets is listed in queue for an Ozimals CSR
  • Pending Customer – Ticket requires further information or action on behalf of the customer

Bunnybury

Unfortunately, I missed this part of the meeting. My room mate was fiddling with the fuse box and my power cut out. A lot gets said in a matter of 5 minutes. But here’s what I caught…

Ozimals has been testing the Bunnybury system – doing internal testing with the CSRs this past week.

Halloween Elites!!!

With the next update, there will be a series of Halloween Elites. Yes, as in.. more than one! However, we were asked what we thought about the chance percentage on the Strawberry Elites as well as the length of time it was possible to get them.

The Noon Community Meeting goers for the most part agreed that 5 days was the perfect length of chance and that the Strawberry Elite possibility was fine given the short amount of time (as bunnies only breed every 4 days, so you’d really only get one shot at a Halloween Elite per pair of bunnies).

While the upcoming mandatory update does not have a scheduled day to happen, we were told that the Halloween Elites will be possible on October 27, 28, 29, 30 and 31st. So obviously, the update has to come sometime before then and Ozimals is hoping to shoot for a window between Oct 18-25th to send it out. Since this is a mandatory update, there is a 72 hour window that starts from the moment the script it updated for the food. This means that if you do not update your bunnies within 72 hours, they will be unable to interact with their food and hibernation may occur.

In order to get a Halloween Elite during the scheduled 5 days, a pair of bunnies will have to have both produced the nest during the time frame and you must kindle it during that time frame as well. If you do not want a Halloween Elite, you just have to wait until after the 31st in order to kindle the nest.

Speaking of Food…

Ozimals Community rejoice… COMBINED food will be coming soon! This means that food and water will be combined finally into 1 precious prim. No word yet on what this new food will look like. The food is designed to allow it to work with various versions of bunnies – meaning there won’t be an issue with fussy food during updates.

But this food is a ways off yet. So again, the Halloween content update is mandatory!
